Low Carbohydrate Diet: A Fad or Does it Works?

The low carb diet restricts the intake or consumption of carbohydrates like grains, sugar, fruits and vegetables rich in starch, etc. It encourages the replacement of these food with protein and fat rich food.   • Eggs
  • Dairy products like cheese, cream, etc
  • Fruits rich in vitamin c and also vegetables
  • Potatoes: consume according to your diet plan
  • Nuts like walnuts have to be consumed in moderation but are nutritional.

Sample Diet Plan:

  1. Breakfast: Eggs, scrambled, poached or made into an omelette in coconut oil. You can add some low carb vegetables to it.
  2. Lunch: You can either have leftover meat and vegetables or you can make a salad. Top your salad with a proper dressing like mayonnaise and mix it up with some meat. You can also have yoghurt.
  3. Dinner: Grilled chicken with vegetables or meatballs with vegetables.
